MEMBERSHIP

Would you like to receive a 5% discount on all courses attended over a 12 month period. If you become a member of the Sale Neighbourhood House Inc. all courses in which you enrol will be discounted by 5%. The cost of a 12 month membership is $5.00.

MICROSOFT WORD . Join our tutor over 4 weeks and she will familiarise you with the essentials to produce professional word documents with this commonly used program. Some of the features include borders, tables, shading, bullets and inserting graphics. Must have basic computer skills.

GAMES MORNING OR AFTERNOON.  If you would like to come along once a week or fortnight and play games such as scrabble, 500, Mah-jong etc with like minded people, let us know. This is an ideal way to meet new people or just try something new. See Co-ordinators.

FABRIC SCULPTURE WORKSHOP. Absolutely fabulous!! Fabric sculpting is the Art and Craft trend in Europe and is now becoming popular in Australia . Join Vikki to make a work of art from an old t-shirt, wire, masking tape, tin foil and a bit of imagination. You can even add embellishments such as lace and ribbon to add character. Vikki now has the new clear product that displays the natural texture and colours of your fabric. Your creation can be weatherproofed and be used as a talking point in your house or outside in the garden. Cost $17.00

MADE TO MEASURE – LEARNING TO SEW. Join Maisie over 6 weeks and learn how to use your machine, pattern terms, markings and some tricks of the trade whilst making garments of your choice. Imagine sewing your own designer clothes for a fraction of the cost! This course has a hands on approach offering plenty for beginners and experienced sewers alike. CREATIVE ART. Tap your true creativity and join artist Sue Cox for 8 weeks. In this class you can choose any medium that you would like to learn. It may be oil or watercolour painting, drawing with pencil, crayon or chalk or you may like to get creative letting your imagination run wild with a colourful collage. Whatever you choose, Sue will take you on a journey that will get your creative juices flowing! A friendly relaxed atmosphere is an integral part of this class. Experienced artists welcome. LINE DANCING FOR EXERCISE. Line dancing is a popular recreational activity and is a wonderful way to exercise and have lots of fun. The dance steps are easy to perform and are suitable for all ages. Our tutor Joyce has loads of experience having taught classes in Queensland and Tamworth . Come along and enjoy moving to the music.  You know what they say ’use it or lose it’.

INTRODUCTION TO USING A FLAT BED SCANNER.  Over 2 weeks Judi will introduce you to using a scanner and explain terms and procedures that are generic to most scanners. This course will include how to get pictures, text and film onto your pc's using a flat bed scanner. Learn about sending them via email. Find out about resolution settings and file types and why they are important to scan correctly, we also learn about the terminology associated with scanning. If you have a scanner then this course is a must. SPONGE MAKING WITH ROSEMARY.  Join Rosemary as she covers all aspects of making the perfect light sponge. You will be guided as to the correct tins to use and other useful tips that are sure to guarantee success. Rosemary will also discuss different recipes and their advantages and also tips on making a jam roll. If you want to impress with your next attempt at making a sponge don’t miss this class. Cost $9.00 includes morning tea.
